Colin Shindler teaches American and British social and cultural history. He is also an author (perhaps best-known for his childhood memoir Manchester United Ruined My Life) and a producer in TV, radio and film. He won a BAFTA award for his production of A Little
Princess, wrote the screenplay for the feature film Buster, and has produced several TV dramas including Lovejoy and Wish me Luck. He has written three novels as well as numerous television scripts and radio plays. He currently lectures for the Arts Society and hosts a weekly podcast called Football Ruined My Life.
