Steve Millward has been teaching adult education courses since 1986 for a range of institutions including Manchester University. He has also presented Radio Manchester's jazz programme, worked as Radio 5's 'pop pundit' and was the jazz critic of the Manchester Evening News from 2003 to 2006. He is the author of four books including the acclaimed Music And Politics trilogy.  

Richard Wagner, one of the greatest composers of all time, is quite rightly seen as rabidly antisemitic. But in reality it was the women in his life who did more to embed antisemitism within Nazi ideology. In the first of a two-part series, Steve Millward will focus on Wagner's first wife, Cosima, hailed by Adolf Hitler as the 'Queen of Bayreuth'.
